The mission of the Alliance is to support manufacturers and purchasers in developing and using LCA-based Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to meet new expectations and requirements of corporate, educational and government purchasers in the U. S. and global markets.
For example, Federal agencies must meet new requirements of Executive Order 13514 and publicly traded corporations must respond to new directives from the Securities and Exchanges Commission. These can be can be satisfied with LCA-based Environmental Product Declarations
